Attributes
Attributes
Attributes are the building blocks of Dynasort’s collection sorting and managed collections functionality. They define how products are ranked, filtered, and prioritized based on key data points.
Multiple Attribute Instances
Dynasort allows merchants to use multiple instances of the same attribute for greater flexibility. For example:
- A Managed Collection could include a condition for “Price greater than $20” and “Price lesser than $100,” selecting products within that price range.
- A Collection Sorting Recipe could include Full Size Run conditions for both Size and Color, ensuring a balanced representation of products.
Attribute Availability
Not all attributes are available for both Collection Sorting and Managed Collections. Dynasort assigns badges to indicate where each attribute can be used:
- Collection Sorting – Used to rank products within an existing Shopify collection.
- Managed Collections – Used to dynamically select which products are included in a collection.
- Partner Attributes – Used to select and rank products based upon 3rd party services.
Data Evaluation Badges
Each attribute also has one ore more badges to indicate how its data is evaluated:
- Numeric Range – Example: “Price greater than $50.”
- String Matching – Example: “Product title contains ‘Limited Edition’.”
- Boolean (True/False) – Example: “Full Size Run is True.”
How Attributes Work in Dynasort
- Collection Sorting – Attributes are weighted within a Recipe to determine a product’s ranking in a collection.
- Managed Collections – Attributes act as conditions to filter which products should be included.
- Combination Use – Many attributes can be used in both, ensuring comprehensive merchandising control.
Customizing Attribute Usage
Merchants can mix and match attributes within Dynasort to create powerful sorting and filtering strategies. Whether refining a collection’s ranking or dynamically selecting products, attributes provide unmatched flexibility.
