Product Pinning
Product Pinning allows merchants to fix specific products to designated positions within a collection. Unlike Boost, which applies ranking adjustments globally, Pinning ensures a product stays in a set position in a specific collection, with the algorithm adjusting other product placements around it.
How Product Pinning Works
- Collection-Specific: A pinned product remains in its designated position in that collection only.
- Overrides Algorithmic Sorting: The algorithm fills in other positions around pinned products.
- Consistent Placement: Each time Dynasort updates the collection, the pinned product remains locked in place.
When to Use Pinning
- Feature Key Products – Ensure top-selling or strategic items always appear in prominent positions.
- Maintain Brand or Category Balance – Control product distribution within a collection.
- Combine Manual & Automated Merchandising – Get the best of both worlds with fixed placements and dynamic ranking.
How to Pin a Product
- Navigate to the Collections tab.
- Select the collection where you want to pin a product.
- Locate the product and click the empty pin icon to activate pinning.
- Use the drag-and-drop interface to move the product to the desired position.
- Click Save, and Dynasort will maintain this placement during future updates.
