How to Use the Shopify Order Status Page for Repeat Sales

The order status page is one of the most revisited pages in your store: customers reopen it repeatedly between purchase and delivery to check progress. Adding a recommendation row there, seeded by what they ordered, turns those check-ins into merchandising impressions you already paid for.

The Page Customers Keep Reopening

Most storefront pages get one visit per shopper. The order status page gets several from the same customer, each in a good mood and each with your brand’s full attention. Every tracking check is a free impression, and unlike an email, it does not need an open rate: they came to you. Yet most stores leave the page exactly as shipped, a tracking number and nothing else.

Keep It Helpful

  • Seed from the order. Suggestions should relate to what they bought, which is the strongest signal about this customer you will ever hold.
  • Never show the order itself. Recommending what someone just bought reads as carelessness.
  • Stay modest. A short row under the tracking details is helpful; a wall of products on a service page is not.

With Dynasort, the same post-purchase placement covers the Thank you page and the order status page: bind a recommendation recipe once, add the block through the checkout and customer accounts editors, and both surfaces serve recipe-ranked complements with clicks tracked per recipe.

Dynasort merchandises the page your customers keep reopening. Install it from the Shopify App Store or see post-purchase recommendations.
